Site 3 Marsh Creek is an interesting parcel of land because if its position in a highly urban area. Marsh Creek site 3 is located on the Atlanta historic landmark, Glenridge Hall. Site 3 Marsh Creek was monitored weekly, beginning June 17th, 2012 and ending June 28th 2012. The weather remained fairly consistent only experiencing the aftermath of rain on the first day of testing, the remainder of the days were sunny days with no abundance of precipitation.
Land Uses/Activities and Impervious Cover
Although, some of the land around Glenridge Hall has been sold for commercial and other residential use much of the land has remained untouched which is a pleasant surprise for this Atlanta Suburb. The particular site chosen for analysis has seen some earlier human interaction, Site 3 shows the evidence of a previously built bridge with an old culvert running through to attempt to not disturb the stream flow.
General Waterbody and Watershed Characteristics
The Glenridge Hall property located on the Marsh Creek watershed is in a heavily forested area and large natural debris was present throughout the survey. The man made culvert shows the signs of age and weathering, the drain is completely deteriorated at the bottom.
